What is a valve?
Valve is a pipeline accessory used to open and close the pipeline, control the flow direction, regulate and control the parameters of the transported medium (temperature, pressure and flow). According to its function, it can be divided into shut-off valves, check valves, regulating valves, etc.
What are the types of valves?
Valves are generally divided into automatic valves and actuated valves. Automatic valves (such as safety valves, pressure reducing valves, steam traps, check valves) are dependent on the change of device or pipeline medium pressure to achieve the purpose of opening and closing. Driven valves (gate valves, globe valves, ball valves, butterfly valves, etc.) rely on driving devices (manual, electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.) to regulate the pressure, flow and direction of the medium in the pipeline.
